At Leamington School we integrate te reo Māori and tikanga Māori as much as we can in to the classroom programme, we do not teach this as a separate curriculum area, however, this year I am offering a Te Reo and Tikanga Māori programme to all children at Leamington School. This programme is an addition to the normal classroom programme and it will provide a richer experience of Māori language and culture. The programme will involve the learning of basic te reo Māori (language) and the culture and practices of Māori. It will be delivered in a fun and exciting way where the children will be involved in a lot of interactive and hands on activities. This year the organisation will be: Term 1 and 2 Year 4, 5 and 6 children Tuesdays 2:15-3:00pm Term 3 and 4 Year 1, 2, 3 children Tuesdays 2:15-3:00pm
