Reporting to Parents
We report to parents formally 3 times a year. However, parents are welcome, to make a time to meet with the teacher through the year if they have any queries or concerns.
Our formal reporting cycle is outlined below.
At the start of Term 2 we send home a written report. Parents are then invited to a parent meeting to discuss the progress their child is making, and to find out what things the child and teacher will be focusing on next.
At the start of Term 3 we send home student profile books. These outline the progress children are making in a range of curriculum areas, and contain samples of student work. Parents are then invited to another parent meeting to discuss the progress of each child.
A final report is sent home at the start of term 4. This report outlines the strengths and weaknesses of each child, and identifies next step learning that will be taking place in the classroom. Parents are then invited to parent meetings to discuss the progress, and next step learning for each child.
Finally, at the end of term 4, profile books are sent home for the last time. These contain work from the second half of the year.
