Home Learning Activity Sheets
Children can choose to either complete the Home Learning Challenges or the Home Learning Activity Sheets.
The Home Learning Activity Sheets can be purchased from the office in either paper form or electronic form (for those that want to complete the tasks on their hand held device.) The cost of this is $5 to cover the cost of printing and USB sticks.
Leamington School home learning is based on the Leamington School virtues and COGS and is
designed to teach you to be self-motivated and independent with your learning.
While completing the challenges to achieve a certificate you are expected to still complete the traditional homework tasks of reading nightly, to learn any spelling words and maths basic facts or problems given to you by your teacher, this sheet will give you ideas of other home learning tasks you can complete if you wish.
The home learning challenges need to be completed carefully – remember it is quality not quantity that counts. It will probably take you all year to complete your set number of challenges! As you complete each activity you will need to have it signed off by your parents and then shown to your teacher to make sure you have completed it properly. If you need help with your home learning, you should ask your parents. Your parents are responsible for supervising your safety
while you complete these challenges.
Ask your classroom teacher which day is for checking challenges in your class.
The Home Learning Activity Sheets have been broken into 7 levels of Difficulty. The numbers beside each colour generally correspond to an expected year level. However, if children are finding the challenges either too difficult, or too easy they can complete a different colour home learning challenge.
